Bonjour, honh honh!

Je suis la! I'm in France, Everyone. I've made it. I crossed the big blue, and now I'm in the big...Well, I'm here suffice to say. It's been approximately 2 weeks that I've had here, only one of which was spent actually in France. I am living in Dijon, France in a room on the 3rd floor of a family's apartment building. Internet access is quite limited (and so coveted by us abroaders). I'm currently trying to set up a wifi connection with my hostfamily's computer, however not with much success. The city of Dijon is just as every stereotype of France would make it out to be. Lots of bakeries, lots of churches, and lots of people. Who like to smoke! But I'm trying to profit from learning about a new culture. I won't lie, it's a shock! Much more than I had expected, especially having been to Europe before. (France, however, is about ten years behind the rest of Europe...especially as far as instant communication is concerned). As I briefly mentioned before, I also spent the last few days in the beautiful city of Berlin! It was a great get away and got to spend some much needed time catching up with the person who I stayed with. I have photos and so forth, however this weekend is so full with meetings and preparing for school (which hasn't actually started yet...and it's almost October...and no one, above all university faculty, know when classes start.) The french system, especially all the bureaucracy, is very frustrating and terribly hard to get used to.
WELCOME TO LIVING AWAY FROM YOUR COMFORT ZONE!
We ain't in Kansas no more.
